|Lake Arrowhead Beats National Average in Rising Prices. 2017 Inventory is a Risk.|
The roads are open and dry for 90% of the Lake Arrowhead area. Still have snow berms for many homes, but it isn’t stopping home shoppers. This past weekend had the highest number of showings in more than a month. The lake is down 6 feet and filling with the melt.
Lake Arrowhead is a resort with more than 70% of the homes serving as a vacation get-away for weekends, holidays, summer on the water, winter in the snow. Comparisons are hard to make, but there is clarity in lower sales due to lower listings. Further, low inventory is driving up prices, 7.2% versus a national gain of just 4% in 2016. How long can it last?
If you are debating listing your home for sale within the next 6 months, keep in mind that the spring is when most other homeowners will decide to list their homes as well. Listing your home this winter will ensure that you have the best exposure to the serious buyers who are out looking now! A mortgage rate rise will slow down buyers, but odds are, it will be mild.
