Are Aging Seniors Holding Down Needed Inventory Growth?

I n the years before 1990 , the demographic of Lake Arrowhead was primarily over age 50 with family style vacation homes, used by the parents, children and grandchildren. The 1990s recession was not too severe. No real change.
At the turn of the century, 2000 , Lake Arrowhead had a major upsurge in vacation home purchasers under age 45. 2006 through 2014 recession wiped out most of the inexperienced, highly leveraged young, new owners thinking real estate could never go down. In fact, wise minds encouraged that thinking.
