Can you imagine owning something that is constantly increasing in value? America thought that was home prices… as we know, not true. Dock ownership in Lake Arrowhead does fit the bill, more than doubling the median return on investment.
And that doesn’t include fun on the water which is priceless.
The highest price ever paid was last year, $170,000 for a single slip dock and a sandy beach in Blue Jay Bay.
There are just under 8000 residences within the boundaries of Arrowhead Woods, of which near 600 are lake front homes, defined as having their property line touching the shore line. Lake front homes all have a dock which is valued as part of the home value in the County records. Therefore these lake front homeowners do not sell their dock.
With approximately 2500 docks, just under 2300 are assigned to private residences including lake fronts. The balance of the docks are owned / assigned to the ALA, Lake Arrowhead Village, Yacht Club, and a few other entities.
Arrowhead Woods homeowners own this private lake. Arrowhead Lake Association is the legal authority for lake management, issuing dock permits, setting annual fees and policing all compliance. It sounds so simple but is one of the most clearly defined, complex, closely managed associations imaginable.
ALA does a great job keeping our private lake serving homeowner interests.
